A fascinating and thrilling read. It weaves together the story of the science of the bomb, of the memorable personalities involved in building it, and the espionage and counter-espionage activities of the US, Russia, and Germany. Well written, full of the excitement of discovery and nail-biting spy activities. Even some quite reluctant readers have eaten this one up and discovered how much they can enjoy history!

This is an amazingly thrilling but informational at the same time. It reads like an action movie.
