Description When soon-to-be sixth grader Kingston enters the neighborhood recluse's house after hearing an animal growl and a scream, he becomes trapped inside and must battle both escaped, hungry lab experiments and his fear of the dark in order to survive and see daylight once again. Kingston can't believe his rotten luck. A broken window from a game of street football has brought the soon-to-be sixth grader to the house of Mr. Levy, the neighborhood recluse. But then he hears a growl from inside. And a scream. Kingston rushes to help and finds the situation is worse than he ever expected. Turns out, Mr. Levy is a biologist who's been conducting secret experiments--and they've escaped. The only defense against the hybrid monsters is light. When all exits lock down and a storm knocks out power, Kingston will have to face both the hungry beasts and his fear of the dark if he ever wants to see daylight again.
